I'm hoping to practice and improve my pixel art skills. To that end, I'm aiming to do at least one of the Pixel Dailies a week (assuming there is a theme that inspires me) and archiving them on my site. NVIDIA have just released their new GeForce GTX 750 Ti card, based on the Maxwell chipset. It seems like a great card at a pleasant price point and I downloaded NVIDIA's whitepaper. One thing that caught my eye is a graph comparing the GTX 750 Ti's performance to the GTX 480, the flagship card four years ago. It is terribly misleading. This is what it looks like:

Pictor/PC Paint has been my bitmap editor of choice for many years. In May of 2007, I created a small patch for version 3.1 of PC Paint to enable it to run properly in DOSBox. Having seen this, Canadian software developer Bill Buckels sent me an e-mail and contacted John Bridges asking him for permission to distribute the program for free. As John graciously agreed, I am delighted to be able to offer you the original version of PC Paint 3.1 for download. I've set up a separate page for it.
