Sierra AGI games had a limited vocabulary for their command parser, but they allowed some synonyms from their word list, including some common misspellings. They also tended to just carry the list of synonyms from one game to another, so there are references in there to other games. It was announced with very short notice, so there was almost no time to come up with a concept or do some design and planning ahead of the actual creation of the game. Unlike other years, this year there was a suggested (not mandatory) theme. Although the immediate themes didn't inspire me, they were all related to the pandemic that's going on, so I decided I would poke fun at that, specifically at the hoarding of toilet paper in my entry "Spy Quest 2 - Operation: BOGROLL".
